What's in a name?

I've decided to see if I can keep a blog. How did I come to this decision you ask? Simple. Laziness. I don't believe in journals. Correction, I don't believe in conventional journals. There's this lovely red one I carry around with me everywhere I go but the only things that reside in it are measly lyrics to songs I so shamelessly try to write. The importance of journals, however, is not completely lost on me. Thus the blog. I decided to title it "Ticks and Tricks" for a couple reasons. The first being that I find the human race utterly fascinating. I like knowing what makes people tick. What they live for. What they'd die for. Analyzing other people helps me to better understand myself and my decisions. I learn who I am and also who I am not. The second part of the title is a bit less intense, but nonetheless, a big part of who I am. You know those silly little trivia questions that are sometimes on shampoos and you have to buy the conditioner to read the answer? I like those. You know those jokes on popsicle sticks that are lamer than Laffy Taffy ones? I like those. And you know those 'fact of the day' calendars or those '1,000 things you can do with vinegar' pop-ups? Guess what. I like those too. So every time I blog I am going to leave you with a trick. Or a joke. Or maybe both because I can't decide. Lucky you :)
